World Blood Donor Day, observed every year on June 14, is set aside to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors and raise awareness about the ongoing need for safe blood. This year RaktKhoj marked the day with a donor-appreciation push across its partner camps and blood banks, recognising donors who had given multiple times over the past year.

The day's events leaned into recognition rather than a hard donation push — certificates for repeat donors, short awareness sessions at partner camps on eligibility and the donation process, and social media shoutouts for donors willing to share their story publicly.

Looking ahead, the plan for next year's Donor Day is to extend the appreciation drive to more district-level camps outside the major cities, where regular donors often go unrecognised simply because there's no formal channel to thank them the way larger urban blood banks can.
